Job Description:

Summary:

Responsible for leading assigned department; including but not limited to tool maintenance, production tracking, scheduling, training, and maintaining high levels of quality and safety. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

•    Execute scheduled production plan.
•    Train newly hired employees.
•    Takes initiative to identify and report safety & environmental hazards.
•    Review and complete required daily documentation, including daily GEMBA report outs.
•    Maintain tooling inventory, equipment, and supplies related to the department.
•    Actively promote safety within department, including the appropriate use of proper PPE.
•    Participate in hiring, terminating, and disciplinary action decisions.
•    Involved in employee reviews, and any counseling for associates in the department.
•    Demonstrate a thorough understanding of company policy to address and report any infractions or concerns.
•    Ability to read and interpret 3D blueprints.
•    Other duties as assigned.

 

Education:

High School Diploma or GED

 

Experience:

7 plus years related technical experience. 3-6 years supervision / management experience. 

 

KSA's:

•    Leadership skills.
•    Technical experience in the setup and operation of manufacturing equipment.
•    Knowledge of production and processing and other techniques for maximizing effective manufacturing of products.
•    Knowledge of lean manufacturing and six sigma techniques.
•    Interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
•    Ability to lead and train others.
•    Problem solving skills.

Compensation

Employee Type:  Hourly
Salary Minimum:  $55,000
Salary Maximum:  $70,000
Incentive:  No
