Job Summary

 

This position is for a highly motivated individual to work as part of a research and development team designing hardware and software for UPS systems.  This position will help develop new products as well as provide support for legacy ones. The candidate should have good written and verbal communication skills and be able to work effectively on both a multi-disciplinary team and individually. This position will be based in our Columbus, OH office and will report to an Embedded Systems Engineer.

 

Qualifications Required

  • Working level knowledge of C/C++
  • Ability to understand and extend code written by others
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and efficiently
  • Excellent organizational and time management skill
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

 

Preferred

  • Experience with ARM microcontrollers
  • Experience with emWin, TouchGFX, or other embedded graphics tools
  • Experience with FPGAs
  • Schematic capture and PCB layout

 

Specific Responsibilities

  • Build PCB test fixtures for critical components of UPS systems
  • Design software for embedded processors used in PCB test fixtures
  • Develop software specifications and test plans
  • Testing and debugging system software

 

Education

 

2+ years of progress towards a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering or Computer Science from a recognized, fully accredited program.

Physical Requirements

Hearing:  Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels or without correction.  Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and make fine discriminations in sound.
