Job Summary: 

We are seeking an enthusiastic and forward‑thinking intern to lead projects focused on implementing Artificial Intelligence (AI) best practice within our organization. This internship is ideal for a student passionate about artificial intelligence, process improvement, and practical, real‑world problem solving. The intern will work cross‑functionally to research, design, and execute a scalable AI-related improvement that aligns with our business needs.

 

This position will be in Columbus, OH

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive an end‑to‑end project to implement an AI best practice (e.g., workflow enhancement, responsible AI control, data governance improvement, automation opportunity, etc.).
  • Conduct research on AI frameworks, industry standards, and emerging best practices relevant to the assigned project area.
  • Partner with stakeholders across functions to gather requirements, understand current processes, and define success metrics.
  • Develop documentation including proposals, implementation plans, testing plans, and progress updates.
  • Build simple prototypes or process maps to demonstrate recommended solutions (as applicable)
  • Implement AI Agents and other tools that support simplification, productivity and speed
  • Present final findings and outcomes to leadership at the completion of the internship

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2 + years pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in artificial intelligence, automation, or data-driven process improvement.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non‑technical audiences.
  • Comfortable working independently and driving a project with support from mentors.
  • Basic understanding of AI concepts (e.g., machine learning, large language models, responsible AI) is a plus, but not required.

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with AI tools or platforms (e.g., Microsoft Copilot).
  • Experience with research, data analysis, or process mapping.
  • Project management or organizational skills.

Compensation

Employee Type:  Hourly
Salary Minimum:  $40,000
Salary Maximum:  $45,000
Incentive:  No
