Job Description: 

Summary

The Quality Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring products and services meet quality standards through data-driven improvements and practical solutions using Lean, Six Sigma. and Quality engineering tools. This position involves collaboration across departments and direct interaction with customers to uphold quality requirements and resolve nonconformances effectively.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality plans, inspection methods, procedures, and standards to ensure products meet specified quality requirements, including first article inspection and root cause analysis.
  • Support Defense Supply Center (DSCC) Validation Testing / Reporting Support (Fill-in / back-up for QT II).
  • Communicate effectively within teams and with customers to interpret quality specifications, support training, and address customer concerns and material reviews.
  • Utilize metrics, lean and six sigma methodologies to drive process improvements and corrective actions.
  • Lead internal audits to ensure compliance with quality standards such as AS9100 and ISO-9001.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (engineering preferred)
  • 3+ years of quality engineering experience
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, including GD&T
  • Familiarity with problem-solving tools such as Six Sigma,8D, and 5 Why
  • Proficiency in MS Office

 

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer
  • Familiarity with Connector Specification, MIL-DTL-38999, MIL-DTL-26482, MIL-DTL-83723, EN2997, & ESC10, and Qualification Requirements
  • Familiarity with NADCAP requirements

 

Compensation

Employee Type:  Salaried
Salary Minimum:  $65,000
Salary Maximum:  $95,000
Incentive:  1289
