Position Summary 
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to collaborate with our engineering team and support our maintenance staff. Key Responsibilities 

  • Plan and carry out installation, maintenance, and service of all facilities/manufacturing equipment as needed.
  • Implement creative solutions to reduce downtime/cost with both preventative and reactive measures.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical malfunctions and breakdowns, as well as perform repairs. 
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Contract and oversee outside vendors for large-scale repairs and maintenance projects, ensuring they comply with safety and security policies.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with external as well as internal stakeholders.
  • Document processes and maintain mechanical service, inspection and repairs records while informing workforce about scheduled repairs and potential disruptions.
  • Train and supervise maintenance technicians as well as other co-workers as needed.
  • Monitor the availability of parts and replenish supplies. 
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.


Position Requirements 

  • Associate degree in mechanical engineering technology, or similar. 
  • Extensive knowledge of mechanical engineering designs, installations, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Advanced operational knowledge of furnaces, welding, brazing, roof and ground maintenance.
  • Basic operational knowledge in plumbing (cutting and threading black iron pipes; cut and glue PVC piping, HVAC, boilers, pump health, cooling towers and pumps), carpentry (framing, painting, finishing, drywall), electrical (wiring diagram, running conduit, electronic control equipment, temperature controllers, relays, basic programming).
  • Proficiency in mechanical design and diagnostic testing software. 
  • Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Great organizational and time management abilities. 
  • Willingness to perform mechanical maintenance and repairs outside of business hours. 
  • May require moderate to heavy lifting. 
  • Good attendance is required. Work schedule will require overtime and/or changing of shifts. 
  • The job requires a minimum of 7 years of experience. 
  • On call as needed.

Compensation

Employee Type:  Salaried
Salary Minimum:  $80,000
Salary Maximum:  $100,000
Incentive:  No
