JOB SUMMARY:
We are looking for a highly motivated repair technician to join our depot team located in Chelmsford, MA. This person will help resolve service issues, conduct Preventative Maintenance procedures, and calibrations on a variety of Spectro Scientific equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the diagnosis, debug and repair of Spectro Scientific instruments and parts spanning the entire Spectro product line, current and legacy, ensuring repaired equipment meets product specifications and quality standards.
- Responsible to know and understand each Spectro Scientific software package, along with how each interacts with hardware systems, diagnosing and repairing issues including re-imaging and/or reinstalling software.
- Maintain accurate detailed records of repairs, inventory usage, and other relevant information transferring needed information into our CRM system.
- Collaborate with internals teams such as production and engineering to resolve unique service issues, provide feedback for continuous improvement, and interact to provide continuous learning opportunities.
- Multi-task between multiple repairs at the same time, with minimal supervision
- Ability to follow and adhere to diagnostic and repair guidelines
- Efficiently perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Calibration services
- Interact with the Support Team to maintain accurate customer records and transactions in Salesforce
- Create accurate work order and inventory consumption records for each job assigned; maintain records in Salesforce
- Maintain and adhere to weekly repair schedules as set forth by the Depot Repair Supervisor
- Provide timely and accurate feedback to the Manufacturing Engineering, Sustaining Engineering, and quality teams for collective analysis and trend identification as needed
- Maintain Time-to-Repair (TTR) data for field returns if needed, and a safe, clean workplace.
- Potential to complete PM and/or repair services locally
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- 5+ years of experience debugging complex E/M products and sub- assemblies; familiarity with debugging techniques and associated tools
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues while working independently with minimal supervision
- Soldering skills and IPC 610 certification a plus
- ISO certification familiarity
- Manage a safe and clean workspace
- Meticulous approach to repairs, documentation, and inventory management
- Microsoft Office tools expertise [Excel]
- Effective cross functional communications skills
