Job Description:
Hands-on HR Business Partner providing strategic and tactical support for all aspects of HR services and programs for Antavia IAW all legal requirements and Ametek standards and policies.
Reports to DVP / Business Unit Manager with a dotted line to Director Human Resource, MROE, and liaise with the Leadership Team to develop, manage, and ensure all aspects of the Human Resources function
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for staffing and recruitment of best-in-class talent while providing guidance to managers on best organizational practices to effectively meet the demands of the business.
- Point of reference for French employment law and provides guidance to managers on employee communication, conflict resolution and other employee relations issues and concerns.
- Payroll: Gathering, checking, and entering the variable and permanent data needed to draw up payroll. Drawing up declarations and balancing departure accounts. Setting payroll parameters in line with legal developments.
- Acts and serves as the day-to-day resource for the Antavia employee population to deliver AMETEK’s Policies, Procedures and Programs.
- Responsible for fostering a positive working environment and serve as ambassador in promoting the company’s culture to increase employee motivation and engagement.
- Support management in the identification, growth and retention of key talent.
- Support managers in the identification and assessment of employee development needs; delivering training and other development programmes to meet those needs.
- Administers other programs such as Salary Planning, Performance Management, Employee Benefits and other programs in alignment with AMETEK’s corporate strategies.
- Maintain and periodically review compensation and benefits practices to ensure employee motivation and retention, as well as market relevance.
- Manage Works Council (CSE) activities.
- Guide and assist managers with conflict resolution, employee grievance and disciplinary matters.
Professional knowledge/Experience/Skills:
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant HR generalist experience covering all areas of Human Resources
- Fluent in English and French
- Experience with a large corporation – U.S. organisation preferred
- Excellent communication, presentation, leadership and interpersonal skills, well developed problem-solving skills; solid organizational skills; and the demonstrated ability to be self-directed
- Strong working knowledge of French employment law
- Strong working knowledge of payroll processes and procedures
- Experience managing local Works Council
- Proven team player who has demonstrated capabilities in the following areas: excellent communication, presentation, leadership and interpersonal skills, well developed problem-solving skills; solid organizational skills; and the demonstrated ability to be self-directed and effectively relate to all levels of an organization.
