Job Title: Material Handler

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Material Handler to join our team and support daily warehouse operations. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate movement, storage, and tracking of materials and products. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. If you have experience with inventory systems, shipping and receiving, and operating forklifts or other material handling equipment, we’d love to hear from you!
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma and at least two to three years of related stockroom/supply chain experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
Skills/Competencies:
• Ability to perform routine, repetitive transactions with a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to read, understand and carry out written instructions.
• Ability to work within a team environment.
• Ability to safely lift and handle heavy loads, both manually and with such devices as a pallet jack.
• Computer literate; comfortable within a Microsoft Windows environment.
• Familiar with Inventory or computerized inventory control system.
• Customer Service oriented, with strong communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment, performing a variety of tasks; managing transitions as demands change.
• Capacity to work under minimum supervision.
• Ability to operate a forklift
Responsibilities/Roles:
• Responsible for working in a safe manner and reporting any unsafe conditions.
• Responsible for the quality of purchased parts and finished product, and reporting impediments to quality.
• Responsible for contributing to AMETEK's Continual Improvement Program.
• Responsible for learning and complying with AMETEK's internal policies and procedures.
• Responsible for shipping and receiving of finished products and purchased materials.
• Responsible for handling, packing and safeguarding of both finished goods and purchased parts.
• Responsible for providing timely service and support to internal customers.
• Responsible for kitting of manufacturing orders.
• Responsible for maintaining a high degree of accuracy to ensure the integrity and accuracy of data within our computerized Inventory, WIP and Purchasing systems.
• Responsible for completing cycle counts, as directed, including the annual inventory verification.
• Responsible for processing Disposition Reports for non-conforming parts and products.
• Responsible for liaising with QA and Purchasing regarding material quality issues.
• Responsible for identifying and reporting parts shortages.
• Other duties as required by business conditions.
