JOB SUMMARY: 

This role combines technical knowledge with business expertise to strategically drive the success of our specialized laboratory equipment within the wellbore cements, drilling fluids, stimulation fluids, and clean energy markets. Key responsibilities include strategic market development, product excellence, and expanding our global footprint. This position requires travel, both domestically and internationally, up to 50% of the time.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales and product plans aligned with market needs, company objectives, and clean energy goals to achieve revenue and market share targets. 

  • Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to end-of-life, including product planning, development, launch, and maintenance.

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes, with a specific focus on clean energy technologies and applications.

  • Define and communicate the unique value proposition of our products to target customers.

  • Develop and implement effective pricing strategies to optimize profitability.

  • Train and empower the sales team on product features, benefits, and applications.

  • Identify, qualify, and cultivate new business opportunities with key decision-makers in the oil and gas industry, particularly those involved in low-carbon and renewable energy technologies.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers, highlighting our commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.

  • Work with Sales Management to accurately forecast sales and revenue to support business planning.

  • Serve as our customer advocate, interacting with functional partners including Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, Finance, Quality, and Legal. 

  • Collaborate with distributors and agents to expand market reach.

  • Explore and develop international markets for our products. 

  • Ensure efficient and effective operations by driving continuous improvement initiatives and adhering to quality, safety, and environmental standards.

  • Other duties as assigned.

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, material science, chemistry, or similar discipline.

  • Minimum of five years of business development, product management, commercial marketing, sales, or development engineering experience preferrable with oil & gas experience.

 

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Industry knowledge with an emphasis on clean energy.

  • Master’s degree in engineering, material science, chemistry, or similar discipline.

 

CORE COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to apply strategic thinking to develop and execute long-term strategies. 

  • A drive to find new applications in an emerging market. 

  • Possess strong leadership skills in order to work with a cross-functional team, developing the right products and features to fill market needs in the oil and gas industry, with a focus on clean energy solutions. 

  • Ability to make appropriate and timely decisions based on current information and ensure adherence to existing company policy relating to delegation of authority. 

  • Methodical and organized.

  • Ability to work under own initiative and within a team.

  • Good communicator, both verbally and written and confident presentation skills.

  • Confidence to approach customers and colleagues and the ability to interact at all levels.

  • Ability to work outside of comfort zone.

  • Positive attitude and willingness to expand knowledge.

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time - Domestic and International.
