JOB SUMMARY:

The Financial Analyst is responsible for overall process for all AMETEK Chandler inventory related transactions in the Broken Arrow, OK location.  Calculate, post, and analyze financial data for use in maintaining accounting and statistical records by performing the following.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Overall responsibility for the Chandler inventory activity, including but not limited to inventory reserve analyses and reconciliations, auditing WIP jobs, reviewing daily inventory related transactions and investigating anomalies, reviewing credit memos to ensure inventory is transacted properly, monthly reporting of Orders, Sales and gross margin by product group and coordinating part number setups and cost rollup.
  • Preparation and review of daily labor posting entries and job cost analysis
  • Direct involvement in the BU’s Working Capital Initiatives and the reduction of Inventory.
  • Assist Controller and accounting staff with preparation and analysis of monthly and quarterly reports which summarize and forecast business activity and financial position in areas of income, product costs, variances, expenses, and earnings.
  • Review and update internal control systems to ensure corporate SOX compliance and Corporate Policies and Procedures are adhered to.
  • Coordinate SOX testing and Financial Audits for the Broken Arrow location.
  • Regulatory reporting including but not limited to the annual property tax filings for the Broken Arrow location.
  • Assist with preparation of daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual entries to record activities of the company.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet and other account reconciliations including but not limited to Inventory, Fixed Assets, and Intercompany.
  • Support and act as backup for other departmental functions including but not limited to cash management, financial analysis, budget analysis, regulatory reporting, coordinating, and managing monthly closing activities.
  • Travel Required: Up to 5% of time, domestic and international as required by the BU / Division.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • 3-5 years' related experience

 

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Inventory Costing experience.
  • Experience in a fully integrated, computerized manufacturing environment.

 

CORE COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proficiency using MS Office Suite, including excellent knowledge of Excel required. 
  • Familiarity with SAP and HFM a plus. 
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business journals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. 
  • Excellent analytical skills and aptitude for problem solving, including data analysis and validation.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive business information. 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with ability to multi-task. 
  • Ability to work independently under pressure and strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work extended hours during month-end, quarter-end and year-end for closing purposes.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with all levels of staff.
