Job Description: 

The primary duty of the Publications & Planning Support Coordinator is to support of Technical Publications functions within the Production and Planning Division. This include processing and control of documents of internal origin generated by Engineering to support production and production test. You will maintain the technical side of product technical documentation and communicating this through to the Dynamics 365 ERP system effectively. You will also assist, as necessary, and backup the Supervisor Planning & Production as required for vacations or other absence(s) from the company.

 

Essential Job Responsiblites: 

Document Control:

  • Support the production WO documentation process by ensuring the current drawings are printed and available for all WO’s processed. To include:
  • Change Orders
  • Deviations
  • Modifications
  • Current Assembly Drawings for all levels of definition.
  • Support the RMA documentation and publications process.
  • Maintain and control the processing of technical documents, as maintained in Arena Solutions, from Arena to production to ensure the current released publication revisions are available and accurate for each WO.
  • Maintain the RCNotes in the Dynamics 365 as it relates to the correct item number and correct product variant (rev level).
  • Oversee, control, and maintain WO folders in Production containing technical drawings and manuals.
  • Maintain the route updates in Dynamics as these apply to current models maintained in the ERP system.
  • Process product manual requests to include verification that correct manual is requested, verification of BOM data (when necessary), assembly of customer documents and CD’s.
  • Process test data received from Test department and Stockroom into format acceptable for customer distribution.
  • File various drawings, documents and forms per applicable QMS processes.
  • Keep necessary records per applicable QMS processes.
  • Provide backup for Arena BOM importing to Dynamics 365.

 

Technical Duties:

  • Create technical and administrative documents as requested using the following software applications
  • Provide assistance with these applications to employees as requested
  • Provide cross-coverage of Tech Pubs area as needed/requested
  • Planning Support
    • Planning
      • Create reports of all open sales orders with respective work orders and their status.
      • Assist with the distribution of materials to production upon arrival.
      • Create work orders against sales orders and forecast.
      • Print weekly work orders for production and stockroom.
      • Oversee production workload and priorities to meet sales order dates
      • Create repair/RMA work orders for all service returns
      • Evaluate and sets up lead time, MOA and other parameters in system.
    • Production
      • Responsible for Work in Process (WIP), oversee the maintenance of the production order and planned production order forms for all Models and sub-assemblies. Ensure production orders are firmed, scheduled, rescheduled and released in accordance with the master plan requirements.
    • Expediting
      • Generate shortage report from MRP data to provide shortage management visibility to the Operations team.
      • Contribute to weekly operations meeting by informing the team of production scheduling, shipping and receiving volumes, and incoming RMA’s.

 

Education & Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 12 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Previous electronic manufacturing experience is required
  • 5+ years of relevant and progressive experience, preferably with a business that has engineering/product development
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong ERP/MRP skills and Microsoft Office applications experience

Employee Type:  Hourly
Salary Minimum:  $50,000
Salary Maximum:  $60,000
Incentive:  No
