Job Title: Global Director Controlling

The Global Director Controlling is responsible for overseeing all controlling activities at the Bonndorf site and supporting international locations within the Business Unit. The role drives financial planning, analysis, forecasting and reporting, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making across the organization.
In addition, this position is accountable for export control compliance and preference calculation processes, ensuring adherence to international trade regulations. The role also acts as SAP Key User for controlling processes, continuously improving system efficiency and data integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
Controlling & Financial Planning
- Lead and coordinate the annual budgeting process for the Bonndorf site, including:
- Product cost planning
- Overhead cost planning
- Investment planning
- Personnel cost planning
- Coordinate and align budget planning activities with international locations
- Responsible to build monthly forecasts
- Perform variance analyses for production and overhead areas, identifying risks and improvement opportunities
- Provide ad-hoc financial analyses and decision support to senior management based on company data
- Drive investment planning and reporting across the Dunkermotoren Business Unit, including leading regular coordination meetings
- Conduct business case evaluations and profitability analyses for investment projects, including energy and environmental aspects
- Manage and maintain standard cost calculations in SAP for Bonndorf and international sites
- Prepare project calculations and business cases for customer applications and new product developments
- Act as the main controlling contact for international locations
- Evaluate cost improvement initiatives and relocation projects
- Define and manage transfer pricing between Dunkermotoren sites and other AMETEK entities
- Coordinate, calculate, and initiate intercompany service recharges between Dunkermotoren locations
- Coordinate the monthly and year-end closing process
- Ensure compliance with US and local GAAP
- Ensure the timely completion of self-testing and posting of required documentation related to SOX
- Support Audit management.
Export Control & Customs Compliance
- Ensure proper execution of export control processes at the Bonndorf site
- Classify materials using HS codes and obtain binding tariff information (BTI)
- Ensure sanction list screenings are performed and regularly updated
- Ensure compliance with U.S. (re-)export control regulations
- Ensure correct determination of preferential origin according to applicable regulations
- Issue long-term supplier declarations in compliance with legal requirements
Systems & Process Responsibility
- Act as SAP Key User for controlling processes
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and continuous improvement of controlling-related SAP processes and data structures
- Support system enhancements and drive process standardization across locations
Qualifications:
- Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Controlling, or a related field
- Several years of experience in controlling within a manufacturing environment
- Strong analytical skills with a hands-on and proactive approach
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Knowledge of international controlling structures and intercompany processes
- Solid understanding of export control and customs regulations (preferred)
- Advanced SAP knowledge (CO module), including experience as a Key User
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in an international environment
- Fluent in English and German
