Job Description: 

The Quality Receiving/Inspection Technician inspects parts / products when delivered to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist in conducting quality inspections of products from various vendors.
  • Evaluates articles against Engineering drawings to verify characteristics.
  • Records inspection results via computer for accurate inspection records.
  • Work with QEs and Inspectors with hands-on support to aid in resolving pop-up issues.
  • Working knowledge of conventional inspections tools and gauges such as: Micrometers, Calipers, thread gauges, and gauge pins.

 

Requirements for Consideration:

 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Working knowledge of Electronic Components, Printed Circuit Boards, and Sheet Metal Enclosures desired but not required.
  • Ability to communicate verbally in one-on-one situations with management and co-workers, including the ability to speak simple sentences; ability to communicate work instructions to employees; listen to others without interrupting and get clarification when needed.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, work orders, and memos. Ability to read and understand blue prints. Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions and procedures furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to operate the equipment used in the department, including but not limited to digital ohmmeter and hand tools.
  • Ability to interact in a positive and professional manner and to develop and maintain strong working relationships with co-workers and supervisor.
  • Strong attention to detail and focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Exhibits dependability, including following instructions; responding to supervisor’s direction; and taking responsibility for own actions.
  • Ability to take initiative, including asking for and offering help when needed; performs work independently without being prompted
  • Ability to prioritize and plan work activities; use time efficiently; and work within deadlines.
