Job Description: 

Reporting to the Director of Global IT Operations and Architecture, the Senior Manager of Global Networks is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and management of the company’s global network infrastructure.  In this role, you will ensure the network’s reliability, security, and performance in support of the organization’s business operations and strategic goals.

 

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Lead the global network team in designing, implementing, and maintaining a robust and scalable network infrastructure.
  • Continuously monitor network systems and proactively identify and resolve network issues to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.
  • Develop and enforce network policies, procedures, and standards to ensure network security and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align network strategies with business objectives and support digital transformation initiatives.
  • Manage network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to optimize network efficiency and reliability.
  • Oversee network projects, including upgrades, expansions, and new implementations, ensuring timely and on-budget delivery.
  • Monitor emerging network technologies and trends, recommending and implementing innovative solutions to enhance network capabilities.
  • Maintain accurate and current documentation of network configurations, diagrams, processes, and procedures to facilitate troubleshooting, maintenance, and future network enhancements.
  • Diagnose and resolve network issues, including hardware and software failures, connectivity issues, and performance bottlenecks, using network diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and strategies to ensure network availability and data backup during network failures or natural disasters.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure high-quality network services and support.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to the global network team.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in technical network management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Manufacturing industry experience is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of network architecture, protocols, and technologies, including LAN, WAN, VPN, MPLS, SD-WAN, SSE, and SASE.
  • Experience with network security practices and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption.
  • Knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST 800-171 and ISO 27001 are a plus.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale network projects and delivering results in a global environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.

 

Travel: You may be required to travel up to 25% to various global locations.

Compensation

Employee Type:  Salaried
Salary Minimum:  $140,000
Salary Maximum:  $170,000
Incentive:  Yes
