Job Description: 

Reporting to the Manager of Corporate Accounting, the Senior Accountant will focus on general ledger management and maintaining excellence in financial management and reporting.  You will also be responsible for providing financial information including reports and statements to executive management as well as key internal and external groups.


How you will make an impact:  

  • Prepare standard monthly, quarterly and year-end journal entries; including: prepaids, accruals, fixed assets, including depreciation, intercompany, equity and other journal entries as needed or as directed by the Manager of Accounting and VP, Financial Reporting.
  • Develop and maintain detailed account analysis for all balance sheet accounts that are reconciled monthly. This includes verifying the accuracy of account balances, researching and resolving any discrepancies, gathering supporting documentation and responding to inquiries from internal and external parties.
  • Provide support for the month-end, quarterly and year-end close; including, assisting in the preparation of the monthly reporting package, various Holding Companies, the quarterly financial statements and the yearly audited financial statements.
  • Assist in developing methods to streamline processes for the Accounting/Finance group.
  • Assist or perform other related duties as required and/or assigned within the Corporate Accounting and financial Reporting group.

 

What you will bring to the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field 
  • A minimum of 4 years of related accounting experience
  • Knowledge of ERP systems; experience with Oracle and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) systems a plus
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
