Reporting to the Corporate Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Generalist will support the day-to-day administration of various Corporate HR programs, policies, and processes aligned to corporate business objectives. The HR Generalist must exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and build effective working relationships while ensuring consistent application of company policies and employment practices. 

 

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Support the new hire onboarding process, including but not limited, pre and post hire communications, background checks, drug screens, I-9 employment eligibility verification, draft announcements, new-hire paperwork, employee orientation and ensuring compliance that all checklist items are complete. Coordinate with hiring manager and other departments (IT, payroll, etc.) on various actions to ensure complete and smooth onboarding process.  Creates/edit/maintain job descriptions and personnel files.
  • Conduct employee offboarding activities, including exit interviews, system terminations, final pay, return of company property, etc.
  • Maintain employee files and performs periodic audits to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Distribute corporate and global organizational announcements for new employees and promotions, ensuring standard protocols are followed.
  • Conduct routine and ad-hoc reports, and data analysis as needed.
  • Benefits Open Enrollment/administration – assist the HR Manager with open enrollment administration, including assisting employees with enrollment changes, troubleshooting issues, and fielding employee questions.
  • Support the annual performance goal setting and performance review process, including weekly reporting, troubleshooting, assisting employees and managers, and regular follow up to ensure timely completion by all.
  • Support the annual STI goal setting and assessment processes, including weekly reporting, assisting managers and employees to ensure timely completion by all.
  • Code and process invoices for payment.
  • Administer the Tuition Reimbursement program for the Corporate Office.  Process payments, tracking, quarterly reporting to Payroll for any taxable tuition amounts.
  • Handle various compliance-related projects and tasks as assigned.
  • Administer unemployment claims for the corporate population, and monitor vendor system for requests in the field, delegating as necessary.
  • Provide back-up coverage to Reception when current back coverage is not available (vacations, sick time, etc.).
  • Other various duties and special projects as assigned.  

 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in a corporate professional setting.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.
  • Desired Certifications:  Professional or Senior Professional in Human Resources (PHR, SPHR), or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential.
