AMETEK, Inc. (AME), a global manufacturer of electromechanical devices and electronic equipment, is hiring a risk management professional to join our corporate headquarters in Berwyn, PA.  Reporting to the Vice President, Treasurer, the Director of Rick Management will oversee the organization's comprehensive risk management program, including identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks as well as the property / casualty insurance and surety programs and claim management functions. In this role, you will interact regularly with other departments and staff throughout the organization to support various processes and to establish industry best practices.

 

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Act as subject matter expert on all corporate-wide insurance matters including reviewing operations, identifying gaps, recommending new coverage as needed and providing in-house training on risk management topics and emerging risks
  • Lead the annual property and casualty insurance renewals including D&O, aviation, environmental, nuclear, cyber, patent, E&O, medical product liability and political risk, completing all applications and statements of value accurately and timely, and reviewing, comparing, and negotiating insurance policies and quotations effectively
  • Manage acquisition due diligence and integration for risk management function, and coordinate the placement of rep and warranty insurance for acquisitions
  • Assist with the internal captive insurance company including budget development, the addition of new coverage, review of the captive’s risks and exposures, and identification of opportunities to expand the use of the captive
  • Manage company-wide claims process including partnering with the Legal Department on liability claim matters and managing property claims from start to finish
  • Support the various business units and Law Department including on all insurance and risk-related requests from internal/external stakeholders including contractual insurance and indemnity review and execution of requests for insurance certificates
  • Provide training, review and feedback to business unit leaders on site-specific Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and updates
  • Prepare, present, and manage the annual insurance budget and premium allocations
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including acquisition due-diligence project teams, TPAs, brokers, insurers, and other key partners
  • Oversee the Workers Compensation Specialist / Risk Manager and manages the administrative support function in all facets of responsibilities and assigned tasks including performance goals and review
  • Maintain and develop strong cross-functional relationships throughout the organization to support the long-term growth of the function and the team  
  • Prepare and presents risk management reports to the executive team, board of directors, and other stakeholders
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; ARM, CPCU, certification preferable
  • 10+ years of demonstrated experience in a progressive leadership role managing risk with extensive experience in acquisition due diligence and coordination, management and oversight of the Reps & Warranty insurance procurement process
  • Background within a decentralized global manufacturer preferred
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and consensus building skills and demonstrated ability to adapt to and initiate change within the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams with a commitment to professionalism  
  • High ethical standards with a strong understanding of confidentiality requirements

Employee Type:  Salaried
Salary Minimum:  $170,000
Salary Maximum:  $200,000 +
