Job Description: 

The Project Management Director - SAP will provide leadership to cross functional team members while balancing resources and addressing issues and barriers to drive implementation of key enterprise projects.  The role involves working with business partners to develop and execute business cases, project plans and change management communication plans in support of key initiatives.

 

How you will make an impact:

Project planning

  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in alignment with the commercial strategy. Develop comprehensive project plans, including steering groups, schedules, resource allocation, and risk management strategies. Identify project dependencies and critical paths to facilitate smooth project execution.  Develop, and get approved, financial approval for projects.

Project Execution and Management

  • Accountable for delivering projects to time, budget, and scope.  Monitor project progress, track milestones, and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets. Identify potential risks, develop mitigation plans, and proactively address any issues that arise.

Communication

  • Maintain regular communication with stakeholders to provide project updates, address concerns, and manage expectations. Conduct project status meetings, reviews, and presentations to keep all relevant parties informed about project progress and changes.

Resource Management

  • Coordinate and optimize the allocation of resources, including third party services, to ensure efficient project execution within budget.

Quality Assurance

  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality, robust IT solutions by implementing effective quality assurance processes and conducting thorough testing and validation. Ensure projects are managed using the company approved implementation methodology.

Continuous Improvement

  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by evaluating processes, identifying areas for enhancement, and implementing best practices.

 

What you will bring to the role:

  • BA/BS degree in Engineering, IT, or business management; MS degree a plus
  • PMP certification required
  • 10-15 years of global project management experience leading multi-site, multi-disciplinary transformation projects
  • 10+ years of experience with large scale IT or Engineering projects in the manufacturing industry
  • Experience leading multiple SAP S/4HANA Greenfield implementations using SAP Activate
  • SAP experience in a global environment and multi-site project experience
  • Understanding of IT systems, commercial applications, and infrastructure.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention for details.
  • Must be a US Citizen or US permanent resident.
  • Global travel expectations are 50% or more.
