Job Description:
The National Sales Manager will lead the China sales and marketing team for Spectro Scientific and Grabner Instruments brands, driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets. This role is responsible for managing the sales channels and sales activities for both brands in the China region, with a focus and direct responsibility in the northern region and mining industry. This role involves overseeing the entire business process from opportunity development to order booking, delivery, and payment receipt, with a strong emphasis on accurate forecasting and shipment management. Additionally, the National Sales Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for all Spectro Scientific and Grabner Instruments activities in China.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Achieve Monthly Targets: Meet monthly order and revenue targets for the assigned China region according to budget and forecast.
- Sales Strategy and Initiatives: Propose and align with the Sales Director on strategies and initiatives to achieve growth, maximize sales revenue, and profitability in the China region.
- Sales Funnel Management: Manage the sales funnel, provide accurate sales forecasting for budget planning, and deliver regular reports.
- Sales Channel Management: Strategically develop and manage sales channels in the China region to optimize market penetration across various industries, with a focus on the mining industry and direct responsibility for the northern region.
- Key Account Management: Manage and nurture key accounts directly to maximize customer satisfaction and future sales opportunities.
- Lead Local Marketing: Lead the local marketing team in executing key marketing initiatives and activities in the China region.
- Team Mentorship: Mentor and coach team members in the region.
- Product Marketing Input: Provide input on market trends and customer needs in the region to Product Marketing, Engineering, and Operations teams.
- Customer Support Liaison: Liaise with customer support and service to ensure thorough knowledge of the territory, customers, and potential issues and opportunities.
- Travel Requirements: 30-50% travel as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in a relevant field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in B2B sales leadership with a proven track record of success.
- Deep understanding of sales and marketing best practices.
- Relevant industry experience and in-depth knowledge of the market.
- Strong expertise in developing and executing successful sales and marketing strategies, particularly in developing channel networks.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong team player with the ability to work successfully in a matrix organization
