The Human Resources Manager is an essential member of the Amptek leadership team contributing to the development and execution of the business’s annual strategic plan. This position reports directly to the Vice President/ Business Manager, with a strong dotted line to the Director of Human Resources. TALENT ACQUISITION

Lead full cycle recruiting for exempt and non-exempt positions, including job postings, resume reviews, and interviewing.

Partner with hiring managers to define talent needs and ensure streamlined, high-quality hiring process.

Drive employer branding initiatives to attract top talent.

Oversee the employee onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a seamless experience.
TALENT DEVELOPMENT & STRATEGIC WORKFORCE PLANNING

Lead the leadership development & talent review process for the Amptek business.

Ensure succession planning is in place to develop a strong leadership pipeline and mitigate talent risks.

Track and analyze workforce metrics, including talent, diversity, turnover, and voluntary attrition, recommending data-driven actions.

Provide coaching and guidance to managers on performance management, employee development, and succession planning.

Recommend and implement improvements to HR policies, programs, and procedures to enhance workforce effectiveness.
EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT

Conduct employee engagement surveys, analyze results, and build meaningful action plans to enhance employee satisfaction and drive talent retention.

Work closely with leadership to foster a positive work culture that enhances morale, productivity, and retention.

Provide support and coaching to leaders on employee relations, conflict resolution, and management best practices.

Conduct new hire orientation and coordinate employee engagement initiatives such as tuition reimbursement, fitness club memberships, and service award programs.
HR OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE

Ensure compliance with FMLA, EEO, Affirmative Action, OSHA, and MA Labor Laws.

Lead benefits administration, including open enrollment and employee inquiries.

Administer and process FMLA, STD, LTD and Workers’ Compensation programs.

Maintain employee records, including personnel files, training records, and medical files.

Oversee payroll processing for weekly and bi-weekly payroll cycles.

Ensure alignment with corporate policies and HR best practices.

Additional HR responsibilities as required.
WORK ENVIORNMENT:

Onsite role based in Bedford, MA

Mix of office and manufacturing environments, requiring adaptability

International collaboration with teams in Finland, including cross-cultural communication.

Fast-paced, hands-on environment, supporting both corporate and production teams.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
-
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a minimum of five (5) years of HR generalist experience.

Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local employment regulations.
-
Goal-driven, self-starter with exceptional written and oral communication skills and an ability to handle interpersonal matters tact and diplomacy.

Ability to establish rapport with all levels of employees within the organization.
-
Must have the ability to multitask with strong time/priority management skills.

Strong Recruiting background from an Engineering / Scientific industry would be a plus.

Knowledge of payroll taxes, 401k plans, benefits administration & wage/hour laws, EEO Regulations and Affirmative Action

Experience in ADP Enterprise and Report Smith

Excellent verbal and written (English) communication skills
