Job Title: Electronic Technician

Overview:
The Electronic Technician will perform electrical/mechanical assembly and testing of electrical systems and associated components. In addition to standard construction, the Electronic Technician will also be responsible for diagnostic testing/troubleshooting of systems and will perform board—or component-level modifications and repairs. He or she will ensure that all systems and components meet established specifications per standard operating procedures and/or mandated customer requirements.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
- Builds, tests, troubleshoots, repairs, and modifies production electronic components, parts, equipment, and systems
- Utilizes various types of electronic testing equipment
- Troubleshoots electro-mechanical assemblies to the component level
- Performs soldering and electronic repairs
- Quality Control – ensures all outgoing product meets specifications (and products outside of specifications are rejected/dispositioned)
- Documents test processes of electronic equipment
- Adheres to production schedule and expedites units based on scheduled ship dates
- Performs other functions or duties as assigned (maintenance, inventories, special projects, engineering/development assistance, etc.)
Education and Qualifications:
- Technical high school background or two years in a manufacturing environment
- Associate degree or the equivalent in a related technical discipline is a plus
