Job Title:  Technical lead

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will join Ametek – Prestolite Power global R&D team and embark on an exciting journey towards product realization of the next generation of Charger & battery management solution. Activities contributing to the product development, validation & production of new products and solutions. Includes activities linked to production support at vendor place, liaison between engineering, service & contract manufacturer, technical improvement of existing products and components. You will also generate innovative solutions in work situations, trying different and novel ways to deal with problems and opportunities. You will interface and exchange with internal and external customers, vendors, and suppliers throughout the life of the project.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Product sustenance activities for charger & battery devices.
• Production support for products at manufacturing site.
• Responsible for production output in terms of quality & timelines.
• Work on Digital/Analog electronics circuits design & validation
• Work with various elements of the product (Schematics, PCBs, enclosures, harnesses)
• Bring up & debugging of prototypes.
• Troubleshooting and root cause analysis of circuits.
• Support certification of product like UL / CEC.
• Addressing various safety and noise (EMI) issues that may arise.
• Work on firmware for TI /Microchip / Freescale / Silicon labs microcontrollers.
• Evaluate and identify new technologies for implementation.
• Work closely with team for end-to-end integration and debugging of products.

 Knowledge and Skills:

• Hands on experience with electronics hardware-based product design life cycle.
• Capability to manage internal & external stakeholders during product realization.
• Ability to analyse components stress, requirements, and selecting the right parts.
• Experience and understanding of microcontroller & embedded design.
• Exposure to battery charger / UPS / BMS / Energy management products.
• Able to design, develop and test the circuit boards and systems independently.
• Trouble shooting and Root cause analysis of circuits and Boards failures.
• Understanding of wired communication protocols like CAN, SPI, I2C etc.
• Understanding of wireless communication protocols like ZIGBEE, Bluetooth
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience using in-circuit emulators, logic analysers, oscilloscopes etc.
• Hands-on experience in a hardware / software co-design environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Global teamwork experience

 Qualifications:

• Bachelor's/master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent subject.

Experience:

• 8 to 10 years of experience in electronics product development & Production.
