Summary:

Technical Lead - Software Quality Assurance position requires in- depth working experience on aerospace / avionics domain projects with DO178B/C processes. This position will be based out of our Bangalore and reports to the Manager – QEHS - Quality Assurance, offers a challenging role in a rapidly growing engineering organization. Duties include all activities related to the avionics software quality assurance in software development life cycle and adherence to DO-178B/C guidelines. In addition to this, the position requires to take care of Ametek India Quality Function adhering to ISO9001 and AS9100D processes and Audits. The person in this role is expected to be an independent contributor able to work in a collaborative and fast-paced engineering teams. Strong written and oral communication are essential for Audit preparations, reporting, and effectively interfacing directly with team members, customers, program managers and Certification authorities / Designated Engineering Representatives (DER’s).

Responsibilities:

• Development/Review/Audit of DO178B/C Plans i.e., PSAC, SDP, SVP, SCMP and SQAP.
• Development/Review/Audit of DO254 Plans i.e., PHAC, HDP, HVP, HCMP and HQAP.
• Audit of the software life cycle processes and their outputs. Producing SQA and SCM records as required to meet the DO-178B/C guidelines.
• Development/Review/Audit of DO-330/331/332/333 artefacts as necessary.
• Perform Reviews on Software Plans, Requirements, Design, Source Code, Verification items and Certification documents.
• Perform Audits like Phase Transition, Thread, Baseline Configuration Completeness, Disk Audit, etc.
• Drive process improvements and defect elimination.
• Participate in the Defect removal and change control processes.
• Witnessing of formal Test Execution.
• Perform mock audits before actual audits to bridge the gaps in process or outputs.
• Preparation in the SOI# Audits, ISO9001 and AS9100D audits.
• Participation in the certification Audits / Customer Audits and ensure there are no NC’s. Track the audit actions to closure.
• Initiate/Review/Approve the deviations and waivers as necessary.
• Performing Conformity reviews, Test Readiness Reviews, Regression Reviews etc.
• Ensure that all the documents are kept current by filling the checklists and put under configuration control.
• Train the team in DO178B/C processes and QMS.
• Continual improvement of process and procedure for organization QMS
• Lead ISO9001, AS9100 internal and external audits, customer satisfaction survey, prepare audit reports, analysis, and demonstrate process improvements.
• Risk identification and perform process improvements through mitigation, contingency, corrective, and preventive actions.
• Audit the suppliers / Vendors quality process to ensure they are meeting our standards.
• Carryout data analysis using statistical tools and provide data to the Management Review (MR) meeting

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or Computer Science engineering

Mandatory Skills:

• Minimum of 12 years of industry experience.
• Strong knowledge in C and C++ programming languages
• Strong knowledge in verification tools like Cantata, Cantata++ and RTRT.
• Strong knowledge in Quality Standards/guidelines - ISO 9001:2015, AS9100D, DO-178B/C, DO-248B/C, DO-330/331/332/333, DO-331, DO-254.
• Experience in Aerospace Embedded Software development life cycle processes
• Strong knowledge in Software Requirements development, Review and validation.
• Strong knowledge in Software Low-level and high-level testing
• Strong knowledge in Software Black box and White box testing
• Very strong knowledge in DO-178B/C processes
• Excellent knowledge in Microsoft office
• Excellent written/oral communication skills

Preferred Skills:

• Working knowledge of Tools like DOORS for requirements management, Mantis for issue tracking and PVCS for configuration management, ARAS, etc.
• Familiarity with working in a lean environment.
