Job Summary
This position is for a highly motivated individual to work as part of a research and development team to design and develop high frequency double conversion online 3phase UPS systems. The candidate should have good written and verbal communication skills and be able to work in a team effectively. This position requires support for new products as well as legacy products. The individual is an energetic, experienced professional who can work both individually and with a team. This will position be in Bangalore, India and will report to the Technical Manager.
Job Duties
- Design and develop power electronics for high‑frequency three‑phase and single‑phase online UPS systems.
- Oversee the assembly and integration of electronic prototypes.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive engineering documentation.
- Manage assigned projects from concept through commercialization.
- Develop and validate power stages and perform detailed design verification testing (including regulation, programming accuracy, transient performance, etc.).
- Implement upgrades and new features for existing product lines.
- Provide engineering support, including troubleshooting hardware issues and identifying root causes; proposing corrective actions; evaluating hardware and recommending improvements; and processing product documentation (schematics, BOMs, assembly drawings, ECOs, etc.).
- Conduct product evaluation testing and generate formal summary reports.
Required Skills and Education
- BE / BTech in Electrical / Electronic Engineering; a master’s degree is a plus.
- 6+ years of experience developing power conversion products (UPS, battery chargers , AC drive )
- High frequency Magnetics design
- Experience with EMI/EMC mitigation techniques.
- Experience working with analog, digital, and microcontroller circuits.
