Description
We are seeking an experienced Embedded Firmware Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will work on designing, developing, testing, and maintaining firmware for embedded systems. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to contribute to real‑world products and gain hands‑on experience in embedded software development.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop, debug, and maintain application-level firmware in C/C++ for embedded Linux platforms.
· Implement and optimize data structures and low‑level algorithms for embedded applications.
· Work with microcontrollers/microprocessors to bring up and validate new hardware.
· Develop and integrate user space applications with the use of 3rd party libraries, databases, etc.
· Participate in firmware testing, validation, and documentation processes.
· Collaborate with hardware, systems, and QA teams to ensure reliable system performance.
· Troubleshoot issues at the firmware, hardware, and system level.---
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field with 10 years of experience.
· Strong programming skills in C and C++ for embedded systems.
· Good understanding of data structures, memory management, and low‑level programming.
· Proven hands-on experience with application development on Linux based platforms in multi-threaded and multi-process environments.
· Knowledge of embedded systems fundamentals, including microcontroller architecture, interrupts, and timing.
· Familiarity with serial (UART, SPI, I²C, CAN, etc.) & network communication (TCP, UDP, etc.) protocols.
· Ability to read and interpret datasheets, schematics, and hardware documentation.
· Strong debugging skills using tools such as logic analysers, oscilloscopes, and debuggers.---
Preferred Qualifications
· Application development using AI tools such as Co-Pilot, Claude, etc.
· Basic understanding of digital electronics and hardware fundamentals.
· Knowledge of FPGA interfaces, digital communication buses & SoC platforms.
· Grasp of signal processing fundamentals, including frequency-domain analysis (FFT, DFT, Goertzel), digital filtering (FIR), sampling theory (up/down sampling), and time- and frequency-domain measurement techniques.
· Exposure to Python, shell scripting, or automation tools.
· Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
· Experience working with 3 phase measurement & control systems.
