Job Title:  Technical Lead Design Engineer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities, include the following:

1. Experience designing precision mechanical systems, involving complex assemblies and tight tolerances.
2. Thermal & Vibration Management: Understanding of how to mitigate thermal drift and mechanical vibrations in sensitive instruments.
3. Integration with Electronics: Experience designing mechanical interfaces for PCBs, sensors, and wiring harnesses.
4. Advanced skills in 3D CAD modeling, assemblies, and technical drawings, ideally within SolidWorks
5. Strong grasp of GD&T, Tolerance Stack-up and ASME Y14.5 standards
6. Awareness of CAD File Management Techniques (Solidworks PDM/other PLM tools also acceptable)
7. Advanced skills in 3D CAD modeling, assemblies, and technical drawings, ideally within SolidWorks
8. Knowledge of CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, injection molding, and additive manufacturing, with proven DFM experience
9. Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and Thermal simulations within SolidWorks or other tools.
10. Knowledge and experience in relevant Industry standards
11. Knowledge of CAD and CFD (Flow / Thermal Simulation) simulation will be an added advantage.
12. Propose the development of innovative concepts and perform / review sizing calculations for electro-mechanical components.
13. Able to generate validation documentation to ensure compliance with engineering standards and product requirements

Experience, Education & Tool skills:

1. Graduate in Mechanical Engineering with 4 - 8 years of experience
2. Strong background in use of CAD Softwares (SOLIDWORKS) – Modelling and Drafting.
3. Knowledge of FEA and ANSYS/Solidworks Simulation
4. Prior work on analytical instruments, especially mass spectrometers, is highly desirable.
5. Familiarity with designing components for vacuum environments (e.g., ion optics housings, vacuum chambers).
6. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and work effectively with Global Team
