Job Title:  Sourcing Quality Engineer

Key Tasks:      

• Work closely with various AMETEK BU Operations, Quality, Sourcing & Engineering associates.
• Use of AI tools in day-to-day operations & Quality related activities.
• Working knowledge of various Manufacturing Processes from Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics industries including High precision Machining, Casting, Fabrication, Stamping, Injection Molding , Al Extrusion, Fasteners, High level assembly, Motors, Cables, PCB, PCBA, Components etc.
• Knowledge of supply base at Pan India for various manufacturing processes is desirable.
• Conduct Supplier & Process audits for initial and regular production.
• Audit manufacturing process by visiting supplier sites and reviewing manufacturing environment.
• Guide suppliers for FAI submission, PPAP process review, documentation and establish long term production process.
• Work with BU for any quality related issue resolution / clarification.  
• Contribute to Supplier selection process by working closely with Sourcing team.
• Ability to read Engineering drawing and propose best manufacturing process.
• Identify Quality issues and gaps during site visit, part development or regular production and fix them.
• Develop process for Quality measurement by process & industry practice (i.e. DPPM), prepare periodic report out to Ametek BUs.
• Ability to prepare Quality manual and work process for Quality function
• Provide Technical assistance and training to suppliers to meet and exceed AMETEK Quality requirements by Process enhancement, review of Manufacturing elements.
• Familiar with Quality & Process Tools, knowledge of SIX Sigma and Statistical data analysis.
• Should be able to rigorously assess and analyze supplier data along with internal metrics.
• Should have experience with quality assurance function.
• Ability to identify Supply chain risk due to Quality and proactively create / advise mitigation plan
• Project Planning, Budgeting, Project management, Time management skills.
• Strong External focus and ability to bring ideas / information from Commodity / Industry group.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs.
• The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs

Qualification and Experience

• BE / B. Tech – Mechanical / Industrial & Production / Manufacturing technology
• Up to 15 years of experience in Quality function role of Engineering, Aerospace, Electro-mechanical, Automation, Power, Medical or Automotive industry environment.
• Up to 06 years of experience in Sourcing / Engineering role is desirable.
• Good knowledge of AI, MS Office tools - Excel, Power Point, Macros.
• Good knowledge of English language in Verbal & Written format is required.
• Ability to work in US / Europe time zone.
• Ability to travel up to 40% of time Locally in India and Internationally as needed.
