Job Title:  Senior Test Engineer

Job Purpose

To test desktop software for a range of world class metrology products, see www.taylor-hobson.com

The successful candidate will be responsible for testing new software products as well as the extensions to existing established products at the Taylor Hobson office in Bangalore. You will be a team player, with a desire to work in a mutli disciplined fast moving engineering environment and have a fundamental interest in technology. Training will be provided, where appropriate, in order to meet the skills and knowledge specified below.

What skills do I need to have?

• 2+ years of experience of testing medium to large software applications created for the PC desktop developed using C#/WPF/C++
• Able to analyse requirements, create and execute test specifications.
• Execute all levels of testing (System, Regression, and sanity)
• Detect, report and track software defects and inconsistencies.
• Testing software to prove that it is robust and reliable software.
• Testing software that controls hardware, especially instrumentation and motion.

It would be great if you have some experience of:

• Testing of algorithms in a scientific/instrumentation environment.
• Knowledge of the operation of CAD systems and 3D modelling
• Experience of testing UI/UX, including automation.
• Appreciation of the interaction between software and the electronics/mechanics within a company's products.
• JIRA, Perforce, TestComplete, Kinook’s VisualBuild, NUnit
• Able to create a suite of automatic tests.
