Job Title:  Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary:

We are Telular – IoT for Tanks, Trucks, Alarm Systems, and other Industrial applications.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our innovative team, taking ownership of critical line-of-business applications. This is a key role on the Tank platform team where you'll design, develop, and maintain robust web and software solutions, including database systems, networking applications, and messaging systems integration. You will lead the technical strategy, mentor junior developers, and drive excellence in code quality and system performance.

The Engineer is responsible for overseeing the full software development lifecycle from requirements gathering through deployment, ensuring high availability, scalability, and reliability. Our technology stack is primarily based on Angular, Restful/Soap APIs, Microsoft technologies, including .NET/C#, SQL Server,  Stability, security, and performance are paramount. You will also drive best practices in software development, database optimization, real-time communications, and mentor team members in adopting best-in-class development methodologies.

Key responsibilities include:

• Participate in the development, deployment, and maintenance of mission-critical business applications, ensuring robust software architecture and high-quality delivery.
• Design and develop the Tank platform’s primary web portal using Angular, Restful API and other associated web and Azure cloud-based technologies.
• Design and optimize SQL Server databases, including complex query optimization, stored procedures, indexing, transaction management, and implementing high-availability solutions.
• Mentor junior developers, provide technical leadership, and contribute to strategic architectural decisions.
• Implement best practices around code quality, testing, documentation, and continuous improvement processes.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 7 years focused on .NET/C# and demonstrated hands-on Angular development experience (building SPA user interfaces, component-based architecture, routing, forms, and consuming RESTful APIs).
• Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including:
  • Complex query optimization
  • Database design and normalization
  • Performance tuning, indexing strategies
  • Transaction management and high-availability configurations
• TCP/IP protocols, socket programming, and asynchronous communication patterns
• Strong understanding of software security practices, code quality, and software architecture
• Proven ability to mentor teams and deliver technical leadership
• Excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and an ownership mindset

Preferred Qualifications:

• Extensive Angular experience, state management patterns (e.g., NgRx), Angular CLI/workspace configuration, and unit/integration testing (Jasmine/Karma or equivalent).
• Extensive experience with Github Copilot or Claude Code
• Experience with message broker systems (Azure Service Bus).
• Knowledge of cloud services (preferably Azure).
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana.
• Experience with testing tools such as Playwrite.
• Background in IIoT or telecommunications industries.
• Relevant industry certifications (Microsoft, Database Administration).

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field required.

Other Beneficial Skills:

• Azure DevOps or other DevOps methodologies experience.
• SQL Server Database performance tuning and monitoring.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and collaborative development tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
• Experience with IoT or telematics platforms.
