Job Purpose
Create high-impact, technically accurate content that advances AMETEK Material Analysis’ thought leadership and demand generation goals, while responsibly leveraging AI to accelerate research, ideation, drafting, and optimization workflows.
Principal Accountabilities
• Own the content strategy for priority product lines and applications across the Material Analysis portfolio; build topic clusters and editorial calendars tied to business goals and audience needs.
• Research, write, and edit long- and short-form assets (white papers, application notes, case studies, solution briefs, blogs, web pages, emails, ad copy, social posts, scripts
• Leverage AI in the content lifecycle applying strong prompt design and human-in-the-loop editorial standards; ensure alignment with AMETEK’s responsible AI use guidelines.
• Partner with SMEs to capture domain expertise through interviews; convert technical detail into accessible value stories and proof points.
• Plan and repurpose cornerstone assets into multi-format campaigns (e.g., white paper → application note → case study → webinar → social/email/ad variants).
• Maintain editorial standards and ensure brand consistency across digital properties.
• Manage workflows with clear briefs, timelines, review loops, and version control; coordinate with regional and BU marketing teams for localization when required.

• Impact: Growth in organic traffic, engagement, assisted pipeline/MQLs, and content-assisted wins for target product lines.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Must-have
• 7–10 years B2B technical writing experience in scientific instrumentation, industrial analytics, or materials characterization.
• Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into business outcomes and application narratives.
• Hands-on with generative AI for content (prompt design, fact-checking, bias checks, source attribution, SEO optimization); strong editorial judgment.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading; audience-centric storytelling
• Working knowledge of SEO, content analytics, and CMS workflows
• Strong stakeholder management: interviewing SMEs, aligning on briefs, managing reviews, and presenting rationale.
Nice-to-have
• Experience marketing laboratory/industrial instrumentation or software for materials testing/analysis.
• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Technical Communication, or related field.
