Position Summary: 

Abaco Systems is seeking a MuleSoft Architect responsible for supporting OnPrem MuleSoft servers and AnyPoint Platform as an administrator and providing technical leadership in MuleSoft implementation projects. The role requires expertise in middleware applications, particularly MuleSoft. The candidate will translate business requirements into integration solutions, advising on best practices for integration and API management across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership and troubleshooting for existing applications deployed in MuleSoft.
  • Understand and configure deployment processes using GIT and Jenkins.
  • Document end-to-end integration architecture from complex business requirements.
  • Recommend platform expansion strategies for maximizing value.
  • Utilize MuleSoft suite and related technologies (e.g., HTTP SOAP, RESTful design, RAML).
  • Design APIs and integration pathways for data flow, reliability, and logging.
  • Deploy applications using CI/CD tools (Jenkins) and version control (GIT).
  • Develop applications using XML, JMS, SOA integration, and API management.
  • Ensure adherence to security protocols and integration best practices.
  • Lead solutions delivery with Agile methodologies.
  • Communicate effectively and solve problems with analytical rigor.
  • Stay updated with evolving technologies and trends.

Provide after hours support necessary to resolve high priority support incidents as per SLA.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 12 years in MuleSoft development with 5 years as an Integration Architect.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field is required
  • Skilled in designing APIs on the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
  • Proficient in API Manager, Runtime Manager, RAML, Exchange and Design Center.
  • Experience with Mule components such as Dataweave, API kit router, etc.
  • Familiarity HTTPS, Database, SQS, Web Services, Outlook, Salesforce, SAP, SFTP, File and custom connectors and reusable design patterns.
  • Competence in J2EE, Java Servlets, JMS, and related technologies.

Experience with enterprise databases (H2, SQL) and web service standards (HTTP, SOAP).

 

Qualifications:

  • Exposure to both B2B and B2C integration projects and Web Apps.
  • Agile/Scrum methodology experience.
  • Knowledge in Security, Logging, Auditing, and KPI management.
  • Preferred certifications: MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect, Platform Architect, or Developer.

Ability to flex work schedule to accommodate different time zones.

  • The work environment is well-lit, heated and is in an air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
