Job Description: 

We are seeking a Skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team at BISON® AMETEK. The ideal candidate should possess good exposure in the Development of Electro-mechanical Products. Strong knowledge of Mechanical Design Principles, Materials & Surface Finish Treatments etc. Create component designs (machined, sheet-metal, castings, Plastics) works on VAVE projects and Process Improvements. We’re seeking a team player who can work alongside Manufacturing teams in India and local Engineers & team in US. 

 

What you will do: 

  • Support Design, Build and evaluate mechanical and electromechanical subassemblies, Products, and Systems to meet the performance, cost and scheduling requirements as defined by the Project Team and the Company’s goals.

  • Propose Innovative Concepts, Perform Sizing Calculations of Electro-mechanical Component Design & drive design from concept through production release, for Motor /Pumps / Blower Assemblies involving Rotary Motion System Components, Circuit board assemblies, magnetics, heat sinks, electrical interconnects, and associated enclosure housing.

  • Perform 3-D modelling, detailing, Mechanical design, Application of GD & T and Perform Tolerance Stack up Analysis.

  • Strong understanding of Value Analysis (VA) and Value Engineering (VE) methodologies to optimize product design and development processes for enhanced value and efficiency.

  • Prepares and delivers technical presentations and participates in design reviews.

  • Researches, recommends, and develops technologies, processes, and methods to meet and advance Business Goals.

  • Must be personable, possess good communications skills, both written and oral, and be comfortable presenting before an audience.

 

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 3 to 6 years of industry experience in Electro-Mechanical Component Design.

  • Familiarity with mechanical and machine design, Stress analysis, Thermal Design, injection molding, fabricated sheet metal, surface finishes, and LEAN manufacturing techniques.

  • Perform 3D modelling, detail design, development, modification of mechanical and electro-mechanical systems (Gearboxes, Motors, Pumps, Blowers & Fans) using SolidWorks.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Provide technical support for existing products to upgrade and support ECN’s implementation.

  • Working knowledge of Thermal and Structural / Finite Element Analysis using Tools like SolidWorks Simulation preferred.

  • Design experience in packaging of electromechanical Systems, motors, fans and Blowers by considering EMI/EMC, Structural and Thermal requirements preferred.
