Position Summary: 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Indirect Tax Technology Coordinator to support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of Vertex Certificate Center and assist with Vertex O Series tax engine configurations. This role will play a critical part in ensuring compliance and operational efficiency across numerous legal entities and business units.
Position Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

Responsible for the day-to-day planning, problem solving and execution of the following duties:

  • Vertex Certificate Center (Primary Focus):
    • Implementations:
      • Lead and support implementation for various legal entities.
      • Validate exemption certificates and manage large data volumes.
      • Coordinate with business units and reach out to customers for expired certificates as needed
      • Populate templates and assist with onboarding processes.
    • Post-Implementation Maintenance:
      • Assist with managing ongoing maintenance / updates for all onboarded business units.
      • Monitor certificate expiration and support outreach efforts.
      • Generate and provide weekly/monthly reports to business units for reconciliation and certificate expiration tracking.
  • Vertex O Series Support (Secondary Focus):
  • Assist with tax engine setup and maintenance.
  • Taxpayer configuration, manage state registrations
  • Add new product SKUs and maintain tax mappings.

 Education/Experience:

  • 1-3 years of experience in an Administrative support role, preferably in Accounting or Tax department
  • Prior experience in a Public Accounting firm or other professional services firm is a plus.
  • 1-2 years of experience in the income tax, sales tax or accounting fields is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills
