Job Description: 

Position Summary:

Conceptualize and execute test plan for Design Validation of various programmable AC and DC power products. Perform detailed testing on the power hardware and integration testing of various software and hardware modules. Develop test equipment and fixtures required for hardware and software testing for the industrial AC and DC power supplies. 

 

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

Business Strategy

•    Key member of technical team for new product development and value engineering for the existing product lines

 

Performance, Metrics & Reporting 

•    Execute the test plan to support development of different AC and DC programmable power supplies
•    Monitor planned schedule and provide weekly updates on project progress 
•    Conduct Validation tests and evaluate reports as part of new product development
•    Co-ordinate with Factory to commission Test Equipment fixtures  

 

People Management & Employee Development

•    Interface with hardware, firmware and software team and coordinate various testing activities.
•    Adhere to personnel policy requirements
•    Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of staff and departmental and company information

 

Operation & Execution

•    Arrange test environment with instruments and tools required
•    Perform manual or automated testing as required
•    Document test procedure and deliver Acceptance Test Procedure
•    Perform product reliability testing Thermal, HALT, Acoustics, Vibration, Shock, etc.,
•    Perform Safety Testing on component, sub-assembly and product level Hipot and Ground bond
•    Report on development test results/ Bugs and provide feedback to the design team
•    Other duties as assigned by the Technical Lead

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experiences 

•    Minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience in testing power products and controllers
•    Experience in testing power electronics products
•    Bachelor’s degree in electrical or Electronics is required
•    Understanding of analog/digital circuits, PCB layout, and embedded hardware
•    Knowledge of programmable power supplies is required
•    Experience in preparing test boxes/ fixtures for testing is required
•    Familiar with product evaluation tasks for selecting equipment
•    Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, signal generators, Data Loggers, Environmental Chamber, Load Banks, Hipot Testers and power supplies
•    Fluent in written and spoken English

 

Job Requirements

  • Perform product validation and verification in lab environments, including board bring-up, functional testing, and environmental testing
  • Execute test plans, procedures, and methodologies to ensure product reliability, safety, and compliance with standards for the programmable AC and DC power supplies
  • Identify, debug, and resolve hardware issues at the component or system level, analyzing root causes for failures
  • Design and execute the development of test box/ fixture required for testing power supply
  • Perform detailed design verification testing for power supplies (Regulation, Programming accuracy, transient performance, etc.)
  • Perform detailed environmental thermal and mechanical testing
  • Detailed documentation of test procedures and test results (DVP&R, Reliability Analysis
  • Prepare detailed test reports, defect reports, and test status dashboards
