MAIN DUTIES:

This is an opportunity to join one of the world’s premier PCB design groups. Based in Bangaluru, but supporting the global team, this role requires a diverse skill set and flexible attitude to work.

We are looking for a highly motivated Engineer, with an experience of Library part creation (Schematics symbols, PCB Foot print and 3D Models), PCB CAD design and general PCB design related administrative tasks. This is a challenging role working in a fast-paced engineering environment.

The role encompasses: -

  • Creation and maintenance of Schematics symbols, PCB Footprints and component data for the Global library.
  • Handling complete Library design cycle and creating Library database aligned with IPC & Internal standards.
  • Effective Component validation using datasheets and supplier data for accuracy and compliance.
  • Participate in design reviews with Design engineers and provide feedback to resolve library related issues and part selection.
  • Provide technical guidance on library use and best practices.
  • Supporting PCB CAD Design activities as and when required.
  • Generation of supporting drawings, documentation, and reports.
  • Work in a dynamic team environment and handle Miscellaneous administrative tasks
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (processes, tools, etc.)

EDUCATION / BASIC QUALIFICATION:

  • Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or industry experience equivalent.
  • 5+ years’ experience of ECAD Library development and PCB CAD design

 

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

  • Proficient in Siemens EDA Xpedition tool set including Library Manager, Layout, Designer, Fablink and EDM.
  • Strong Knowledge of Component engineering, Footprints, Symbols and IPC standards.
  • Detailed knowledge on PCB Design cycle, Design for Testing / Fabrication & PCB Assembly are added advantage.
  • Experience in working with Global cross functional teams.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Hands on experience in using PCB design software for library creation and management. 
  • Knowledge on Understanding of component availability, obsolescence, and sourcing will be a plus.
