Job Description: 

Electron Microscopy Technologies (Gatan + Edax) is a leader in our industry world-wide and we are hiring an experienced Contract Specialist to help us keep growing. As a Contract Specialist you will be responsible for reviewing customer contract agreements, enforcing the terms of those contracts, and ensuring our agreements align with company policies.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Review and update contract terms and conditions to ensure they are reflective of existing and new policies, as well applicable regulations
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks in contract terms and conditions
  • Communicate with business partners to understand objectives and deadlines and to provide updates on contract status and related issues
  • Proofread, edit, and fact-check legal documents for accuracy and consistency
  • Coordinate with the legal team and revise contract drafts per their recommendations
  • Escalate issues to the contracts manager and or AMETEK Legal, if necessary
  • Properly handle confidential information
  • Provide on-going contracts-related training to personnel

 

REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION

 

  • Education/Certification Requirements - Bachelor's degree required
  • 5+ years of legal or paralegal experience, preferably working directly with contract law
  • Knowledge of current and legally-binding US contractual language and terminology

 

 

SKILLS

 

  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously
  • Knowledge of US contract law
  • Good organization and time management skills, with the ability to set and meet deadlines
  • Strong Interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships
  • Ability to work independently or part of a team
  • Proficient in Office 365 Suite (Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • Drive to overcome resistance
  • Willingness to work virtually
