Job Description: 

Position Summary: This position will have a broad range of technical, day-to-day finance/accounting, and project-based responsibilities. All duties will be performed in a fast-paced, multi-tasking and flexible environment.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process transactional accounts.
  • Prepare end journal entries.
  • Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Aid local business team with required documentation.
  • Execute and/or participate in the day-to-day accounting processes, such as cash, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Compilate and distribute daily, weekly, monthly reports as assigned.
  • Reconcile and/or assist with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and related processes, and corporate intercompany balances.
  • Maintain and reconcile the GR/IR (goods-receipt/invoice-receipt) account balances.
  • Maintain customer and vendor database.
  • Assist with month end closing and preparation of monthly financial statements.
  •  Ensure proper execution of internal financial controls and procedures.
  • Use equipment and materials properly.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related discipline required or a combination of education and experience 

 

Experience:

  • Minimum 4-5 of accounting role experience
  • Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner.
  • Eye for detail, accuracy is imperative.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and other accounting standards.
  • Able to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to be an effective team member and display initiative.
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel or similar internal business management programs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and meet critical business deadlines.
  • Familiar with aerospace industry a plus.
  • Observes all safety and security procedures.
  • Uses equipment and materials properly.
  • Reports potentially unsafe conditions.
