Are you good at coordinating, organization, integration, and completion of engineering projects?
We are a medium-sized team in search of an experienced Project Certification Engineer. We are financially stable, and a division of a large global manufacturer traded on the S&P 500.
Key Responsibilities
- Expert in taking aircraft fire suppressant and FAA-PMA programs from concept to manufacturing.
- Responsible for successful project certification efforts. They will provide technical support on FAA-PMA programs, guidance and direction to issues arising from matters related to engineering, manufacturing, production and quality assurance. Coordinate FAA activities with local FAA ACO Branch. Coordinates FAA-PMA activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.
- Sets up certification scopes for projects and prepare FAA, EASA submittal packages.
- Oversees certification plan, compliance matrix and conformity plans and implementation.
- System Safety Assessment (SSA) and risk management.
- Produce 2D CAD & 3D model/layout drawings using Autodesk Inventor as necessary.

We need your experience to include:
- Bachelors of Science (B.S.) degree or higher from four-year college and/or university in the field of Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
- Related work experience - minimum of 5 years.
You should know how to:
- Deal with various experiences in aircraft product development and certification functions, procedures, standards and methods.
- Conduct FAA, EASA Training and/or seminars.
- Individual must have a minimum “Power User” (just below Expert level) experience of the following computer software programs typically regarded as essential modern engineering tools: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, Visio), XP Pro and above OS, Internet Explorer; Adobe Acrobat; Autodesk AutoCAD a plus, Autodesk Inventor a plus, Autodesk Stress Analysis or equivalent, LabView a plus.
- To apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry, trigonometry, algebra and at times calculus.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
