Job Title: MRO Quality Inspector

Ametek Ameron is looking for a strong MRO Inspector with 5 years previous MRO quality experience for our Baldwin Park, CA facility. This individual will be responsible for conducting detailed inspection of aircraft fire bottles and oxygen masks/bottles to ensure they meet airworthiness requirements. The inspector will be required to maintain accurate records of inspection & maintenance activities and ensure adherence to airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins and FAA/EASA/UK/CAAC regulations.
This role will be responsible for overseeing quality systems, including procedure and policy compliance, continued conformance to AS9100 Rev.D and ISO9001:2015 requirements, performing internal and supplier audits, as well as maintaining an effective corrective/preventive action system for internal and external problems. This position will also function as primary liaison for various customers in order to resolve quality issues, ensure appropriate flow down of quality requirements, enable positive channels of communication, and ensure customer satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform tests and inspections of products, services or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
- Comply with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), Quality Procedures (QPs) and Local Work Instructions.
- Accomplish review of Work Order (W/O) documentation prior to Final Release of articles.
- Supports Chief Inspector in training, documentation, compliance monitoring, internal audits to meet requirements of 14 CFR Part 145
- Conduct a complete vision and mechanical inspection of all incoming parts and materials, including inspecting items being shipped
- Function as primary liaison for various customers & suppliers in order to resolve quality issues

Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in aviation maintenance or a related field is a plus
Experience
- 5+ years as a Quality Management in an overhaul & repair environment
- Aerospace experience is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) as well as basic mathematical skills
- A&P License a Basic plus
- Must be able to communicate effectively (oral and written)
- Familiar with MRO documentation (Ex. Quality Control Manual (RSQCM), CMM (Component Maintenance Manuals), 8130’s, Capabilities Manual
- Possess strong organizational, analytical, and administrative skills.
- Strong attention to detail.

- Strong computer skills are a must, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (uniPoint is a plus)
- Capable of growing into the Chief Inspector position
