Job Description: 

The Buyer II is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, components, and services to support aerospace manufacturing and operations. This role requires a strong understanding of aerospace quality standards, supplier management, and cost control strategies. The Buyer II will work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement aligned with project requirements.

 

Position Summary:

The core duties of the position include, but not limited to the following: 

  • Responsible for purchasing & negotiating material, supplies & equipment from approved vendors.
  • Evaluates vendor quotes & services to determine most desirable suppliers.
  • Follow up with vendors and suppliers with weekly open order reports
  • Generate P.O’s and adjust delivery dates in accordance with MRP
  • Travel to local suppliers to conduct supplier visits as required

 

Education: 

  • AA or BA degree preferred or equivalent experience

 

Experience:

  • 2 years of Purchasing and or Supply Chain experience in a manufacturing environment. (Preferably Aerospace)
  • General understanding or MRP systems

  • Proven team player who has demonstrated capabilities in the following areas: excellent communication, interpersonal skills, problem-solving skills, solid organizational skills, and the demonstrated ability to be self-directed and effectively relate to all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • The right person will be ambitious and flexible who wants to learn and grow professionally.
  • Strong computer skills are a must, to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Compensation

Employee Type:  Salaried
Salary Minimum:  $70,000
Salary Maximum:  $90,000
Incentive:  No
