Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Fabrication Welder, you will:

  • Perform work with precision, adhering to Standard Work procedures and ensuring the highest quality.
  • Identify and report nonconforming conditions or out-of-standard issues to supervisors for resolution.
  • Collaborate with your team to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and teamwork.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace by following 5S methodology.
  • Continuously learn and apply new job skills to enhance overall team effectiveness.
  • Utilize and troubleshoot equipment for MIG, STICK, TIG, and FLUX core welding.
  • Train and mentor team members to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Actively participate in identifying and implementing workflow improvements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

Requirements

  • Experience: 5-7 years of welding experience.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in MIG, STICK, TIG, and FLUX core welding.
    • Ability to read and write in English.
    • Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Windows) and math skills.
    • Competence in using hand tools (e.g., wire strippers, pliers, wrenches) and measurement equipment (e.g., rulers, calipers, tape measures).
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stoop, kneel, stand for long periods, and regularly lift up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, and depth perception.

Salary Range:

The hourly pay range for this position generally ranges between $27.00 - $32.00  Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition, AMETEK provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee assistance program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off.
