Job Summary:
As a Project Manager within AMETEK’s Instrumentation, Controls & Vision Systems (ICVS) team, you will lead cross-functional initiatives that bring innovative solutions to life for global industries. This role is responsible for driving projects from concept through completion, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, timelines, and budgets. You will serve as the primary liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders, balancing technical requirements with business priorities to deliver exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget objectives are met.
- Provide clear, timely updates to internal teams, leadership, and customers, fostering transparency and trust.
- Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, resolving conflicts and promoting collaboration in a matrix environment.
- Identify potential risks early, implement mitigation strategies, and develop recovery plans for off-track projects.
- Recommend and lead initiatives to enhance project management processes, improve quality, and optimize delivery timelines.
- Partner with engineering and operations teams to manage product lifecycle activities and sustainment efforts.
- Prepare and present accurate cost estimates, ROI analyses, and margin evaluations to support decision-making.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business, or financial discipline (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment with high-technology products.
- 2–5 years of hands-on project management experience.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies; PMP certification preferred.
- Familiarity with manufacturing operations, including scheduling, procurement, assembly, and quality systems.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, including cost estimation and ROI calculations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead in a matrix organization and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to assess project readiness across functional areas.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and presentation skills with a bias for action and accountability.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in new product development or engineering environments.
- Advanced proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet).
- Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to manage global projects and work across diverse cultural and geographic teams.
- Strong customer-facing experience and ability to translate technical concepts into business terms.
