The Project Management Intern provides support for Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement activities across operations. Assists with the execution of structured improvement events and data collection efforts to drive process efficiency, workplace organization, and visual management.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Manage the production transfer between facilities and provide data analytics to prepare data driven project plans.
  • Using data analytics assess capacity planning to support facilities to prepare headcount planning.
  • Co-ordinate and collaborate with cross functional teams (Engineering, manufacturing engineering, quality, supply chain) to resolve project move hurdles to meet the project timelines.
  • Organize weekly meetings between cross functional teams to go through project plans and update the status, progress and highlight the issues that need to be resolved.
  • Collect the meeting minutes, share with everyone and follow up on actions to resolve on-time.
  • Learn ERP system in collecting parts, drawings, BOMs, parts shipping requirements to support the factory operations team.
  • Knowledge of excel and data analysis to prepare project plans for clear status and action plans.
  • Pasion to learn, work in team environment and keep all the stake holders informed actions, issues proactively to resolve issues.

Requirements: 

  • Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Foundational knowledge of Lean principles and tools including 5S, 3P, Kaizen, Standard Work.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, interpret, and present process data.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; able to engage across all levels of the organization.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

 

Compensation

Employee Type:  Hourly
Salary Minimum:  $40,000
Salary Maximum:  $45,000
Incentive:  No
