Job Description: 

AMETEK is seeking a highly-skilled, energetic, and motivated Program Manager – Level Sensors to drive the development and delivery of next-generation level sensor products across global markets. This role requires strong technical knowledge, project leadership, and regulatory expertise—especially in highly regulated industries such as oil & gas, chemical processing, and industrial automation. You will lead cross-functional teams and manage complex product lifecycles from concept through launch, ensuring all technical and compliance requirements are met. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Manage and lead the full lifecycle of all level sensor new product development projects, from requirements definition and Traceability Matrix development through design, development, validation, certification, launch, product watch, and closure. 

  • Coordinate cross-functional and cross-site efforts across engineering, quality, compliance, supply chain, operations, and product management to meet project performance, cost, and schedule targets. 

  • Ensure product and process compliance with all applicable global regulatory and industry standards working with internal and external partners to obtain required product approvals. 

  • Drive risk assessment and mitigation plans for technical, regulatory, and commercial aspects of the program. 

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, ROI calculations, and resource plans using appropriate tools (e.g., MS Project, MS Teams, Jira, Smartsheet). 

  • Report regularly on program status, risks/mitigations, and business opportunities to senior leadership and other partners. 

  • Participate in product roadmap planning and contribute to technical strategy by identifying emerging trends, compliance requirements, and unmet customer needs. 

  • Support customer engagements, including technical reviews, audits, and compliance documentation requests. 

  • Ownership of all NPD documentation, archival, tools, and processes including fixes and/or improvements 

  • Ability to travel up to 15% including International as needed. 

Qualifications: 

 
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, such as Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or similar. 

  • PMP certification or equivalent is strongly preferred. 

  •  Minimum 8 years of experience in program/project management within sensor technology, industrial automation, or process/analytical instrumentation. 
  • Direct experience working with hazardous area certified products (e.g., ATEX, IECEx) and managing global regulatory approvals. 

  • Proven track record of commercially launching multiple complex hardware and embedded system products on time and on budget 

  • Success in managing projects from start to finish (i.e. leading through all phases of product development). 

  • Proven track record of success in collaborating across business functions to support project goals as well as uniting and driving engineering teams to collaborate and succeed. 

 
  • Strong understanding of level sensing technologies (e.g., ultrasonic, radar, capacitive, hydrostatic). 

  • Familiarity with regulatory documentation and requirements, including Ex d/Ex i certifications, safety integrity levels, and environmental declarations. 

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and partner management skills.  

  • Visual metrics experience a plus. 

  • Proficient with project management software tools and methodologies (Agile, Stage-Gate, etc.). 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-cultural, global team environment.

Salary Minimum:  $120,000
Salary Maximum:  $130,000
