Job Description: 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Maintenance/EHS Manager is responsible for overseeing maintenance operations to ensure the optimal condition of Safety, Equipment and Facilities.

•Reviews and prioritizes requests for maintenance from all areas of the facility and ensures maintenance activities are properly documented.

•Developing and implementing maintenance strategies to minimize equipmentdowntime.

•Lead safety inspections and training. Create JSA's and lead safety committee meetings 

•Responding promptly to emergency situations.

•Supervising and managing the maintenance team, including development of team members through training

•Develops written procedures for maintenance activities.

•Oversees tool room and staff and ensures flexibility through rapidly changing priorities to support both Manufacturing and Engineering’s needs.

•Ensures that product equipment is operational, serviced regularly, andmaintain to minimized downtime.

•Repairs, or replaces in-process production equipment, and tooling in response to requests.

•Oversees installation/removal of equipment, working closely with Production,Operations Engineering and Supply Chain to help design facility layouts and systems that are progressive and are optimized for efficiency.

•Oversees all building maintenance function related to plumbing, electrical,HVAC, custodial and cosmetic items such as painting, flooring, grounds maintenance.

•Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor,materials, preparation, and other related costs.

•Deals with outside contractors for servicing/repair of production or facilityequipment, including, but not limited to, HVAC, electrical/power, landscaping,custodial, security, general contractors, and facility ownership/managementcompanies.

•Sources/obtains estimates for work to be performed by outside contractors.

•Develops and implements the facilities department’s input to the BusinessContinuity planning process, which ensures that disruption to the Company’scritical functions is minimized during unscheduled events.

•Actively participates in Continuous Improvement and 6S activities, inspectionsand audits.

•Supports audit activities and corrective actions that result from audits.

•Ensures compliance to quality standards and participate in the QualityImprovement System. Participates in the environmental and safety regulatory compliance activities forOSHA, EPA, DOT, DNR and other federal, state, and local programs andworks with representatives for safety to ensure compliance in maintenanceactivities.

•Oversees the proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous chemicalsand dangerous wastes to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, state, and localregulations.

•Advises the Management Team on the implication of current and emerginghealth, safety and welfare legislation, including evaluating options, makingrecommendations and generating action plans to ensure safety complianceacross the organization.

•Takes personal responsibility to develop, deploy, and properly manage aculture around Safety and working conditions.

•Oversees diligently the overall appearance, cleanliness and professionalism offacility appearance and responsiveness to maintenance.

•Maintains world class preventative maintenance program and takes currentprogram to predictive maintenance program.

•Inspects or directs the inspection of construction and installation progress toensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules.

•Directs through subordinates the planning, scheduling and coordination offacilities and maintenance work requests, asset protection, and related internaland external service personnel, responsible for the upkeep of all facilities.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline or equivalent work experience (8+years).

Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to ask the right questions,help frame logical conclusions and arrive at effective solutions

Ability to work inside, outside, in confined areas, in extreme heat, extremecold, with noise, with vibration, high places, fumes/odors, and in dirt/dust;

Ability to understand mechanical and electrical principles and machine functionality;

Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations

Ability to read and understand construction and equipment drawings;

Ability to use personal computer and Windows-based software (Outlook,Word, PowerPoint and Excel;

Salary Maximum:  $120,000
