Job Description: 

 

The Director, Supply Chain leads supply chain strategy across the entire Level Measurement Solutions business unit globally. Drives operational efficiency and cost savings. Responsible for leveraging buying power, optimizing vendor relationships, and implementing competitive sourcing strategies to reduce overall spend and improve lead times. Plays a key role in aligning supply chain operations with strategic business goals.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Initiates and leads Global (SIOP) Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning Process
  • Builds, mentors, and retains high-performing teams and drive engagement through transparent communication, recognition, and professional development
  • Sets make vs. buy and make/buy location strategy in conjunction with other key stakeholders; increase % parts coming from low cost regions.
  • Lead Inventory Reduction Initiative including E&O management, outsourcing, etc.
  • Identifies and Mitigates supply chain risks through proactive planning and controls.
  • Evaluates component rationalization opportunities with engineering.
  • Standardizes sourcing processes and tools to improve visibility and control.
  • Consolidates supplier base and renegotiate contracts to achieve cost savings.
  • Leads competitive quoting initiatives for goods and services.
  • Identifies and implements alternative sourcing solutions to reduce spend.
  • Develops and maintains strategic relationships with key suppliers.
  • Conducts regular supplier performance reviews and corrective action plans.
  • Negotiates service-level agreements and contracts to maximize value.
  • Onboards new vendors aligned with cost and quality goals.
  • Partners with operations, finance, and site leadership to align supply chain strategies.
  • Facilitates communication and coordination across departments.
  • Establishes KPIs and dashboards to track savings, supplier performance, and cycle times.
  • Leads process improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Ensures adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Mitigates supply chain risks through proactive planning and controls.

 

Qualifications:

  • 4 year Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related
  • Master's or Advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years with progressive supply chain management roles including people leadership
  • Ability to effectively lead with little supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop, motivate, and influence people.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and spend analysis tools.
  • Ability to assess situations and solve problems in a timely manner.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

 

Compensation

Employee Type:  Salaried
Salary Minimum:  $190,000
Salary Maximum:  $200,000
Incentive:  Yes
