Job Description: 

AMETEK Telular is seeking a Software & Infrastructure Engineer with 3+ years of experience to maintain and enhance existing applications while providing high-level technical support. This role requires experience in software development, Cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, and technical support.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Manage and maintain cloud-based .NET applications and services
  • Handle IIoT device integration and configuration updates
  • Support and troubleshoot sFTP applications and file transfer processes
  • Maintain web services and ensure data feed reliability
  • Maintain and enhance deployment pipelines using Github Actions
  • Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform
  • Support disaster recovery and backup processes
  • Participate in on-call rotation as needed
  • Support SQL Server databases and data models
  • Ensure data integrity across applications
  • Support data migration efforts
  • Implement and maintain data security protocols
  • Analyze and resolve complex technical issues
  • Perform root cause analysis for critical incidents
  • Document solutions and maintain knowledge base
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Provide technical guidance to junior team members

 

In order to be successful in the role, you will have:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with agile development methodologies
  • Proficiency with project tracking tools (Jira)
  • Excellence in technical documentation
  • Strong communication skills for cross-team collaboration
  • C#/.NET development experience for application development
  • Strong background in cloud platforms (preferably Azure)
  • Proven experience with SOAP/REST web services and WSDL implementations
  • Understanding of SQL Server data models and database architecture
  • Minimum 3 years of professional software development or DevOps experience
  • Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes (AKS/GKE)
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (preferably Terraform)
  • Expertise in secure file transfer protocols (sFTP) and file automation
  • Experience processing and automating Excel/CSV based data feeds
  • Technical Requirements
  • Proficiency in C#/.NET
  • Knowledge of SQL Server and .NET Entity Framework
  • Expertise in version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
  • Understanding of IAM and RBAC for security management
  • Bachelor's Degree is required
  • This role can be located in one of the following AMETEK Telular office locations: Atlanta, GA, Herndon, VA or Mount Prospect, IL

 

Compensation

Employee Type:  Salaried
Salary Minimum:  $120,000
Salary Maximum:  $140,000
Incentive:  No
