Job Title:  Shipping and Receiving Coordinator

Sunpower, based in Athens, OH, is looking for a shipping and receiving coordinator. Under the direction of the procurement supervisor, this position will support daily activities by performing all inbound and outbound shipping and receiving duties, packaging/labeling products, and aiding in general material handling.

CORE DUTIES:

Shipping and Receiving Verification & Processing (60% of the time):

• Use Oracle ERP and other electronic systems to processing sales orders and daily shipping receipts, maintain shipping log, prepare packslips, and provide invoicing information to accounting.

• Verify accuracy of inbound and outbound shipments.

• Assist with SOX audits monthly.

• Distribute daily receipts to internal customers.

General Materials Handling (40% of the time):

• Package and prepare items for shipping.

• Schedule and prepare shipments, both foreign and domestic.

• Load and unload freight onto/from trucks.

• Organize and store inbound freight and packaging supplies.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

Minimum of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) equivalent.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATION:

• Demonstrated data entry accuracy and proficiency in Microsoft Office, with the ability to be trained in multiple applications.

• Demonstrated ability to independently adhere to established procedures in an organized fashion.

• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and through written correspondence.

• Ability to complete simple mathematical equations involving addition, subtraction, and multiplying and dividing (including fractions).

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Demonstrated success using database systems (or ERPs), typically gained through a two-year degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or work experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Must be able to routinely operate forklift and pallet jack (on the job training provided).

• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds without assistance.

• Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and stand for extended periods.
