Job Description: 

Position Summary:

The material handler works in close coordination with the manufacturing operations team to provide internal material movement support including stockroom functions by performing the functions noted below.

 

Core Functions:

  • Material Handling: Using Oracle (MRP), issue/stage all raw materials and sub-assemblies. Pull and kit raw materials, individual components, and assemblies for assembler staff in alignment with issued work orders.
  • Inventory Organization: Shelves inventory and maintains/improves efficiency and organization of inventory.
  • Reporting: Maintains accurate records of all inventory transactions, tracks scrap, and completes daily inventory cycle counts.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Collaborates with the production and operations team. Provides input involving production planning, inventory organization, and cost reduction methods. Assist the Manufacturing Manager, Manufacturing Supervisor, Production Lead, and Production Planner with production planning and ensuring delivery schedules are met.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma/GED
  • Accurate data entry and demonstrated basic proficiency in Excel
  • Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
  • Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written)
  • Ability to work independently
